Truck Driver CDL Class A - Local - Geneva, IL.

About the role

CXI Trucking, a family-owned and operated company for 30 years, is hiring a dedicated Class A CDL driver for its Geneva, IL location. The position involves LTL (less-than-truckload) pick-up and delivery operations, starting and ending each day in Geneva, IL, with a dedicated tractor. Drivers are home daily and every weekend.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicle safely at all times
• Comply with DOT driver log, pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Label, sign, and handle shipments according to DOT regulations and CXI Trucking procedures
• Verify loads, equipment, and deliveries are secured prior to transportation
• Operational knowledge of a pallet jack, two-wheel hand truck, and lift-gate to assist in P&D operations
• Ability to lift a minimum of 100 lbs. safely
• Ability to effectively read maps or utilize a GPS unit
• Communicate in a clear, concise, and professional manner

Requirements

• Must be at least 23 years of age
• Minimum 2 years of experience driving a commercial vehicle
• No more than 1 at-fault (preventable) accident in the last year
• Clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) preferred
• Valid CDL with air brakes endorsement
• Hazmat endorsement a plus

Pay

Starting at $34.00 per hour. Paid weekly. Overtime paid after 40 hours per week. Guaranteed 40-hour paid work week.

Schedule

Day shift, 6:00 AM start, Monday through Friday. Home every night and every weekend.
