About the Role
Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Langhorne, Pennsylvania for local home daily routes. Drivers operate well-maintained, safe trucks (36 months or newer) with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide locations.
Deliver solo to Long Island, PA, MD, and the 5 boroughs using day cab tractors and 45'–60' flatbed trailers. Freight involves load securement only (steel and metal).
Pay
- Weekly Guarantee: $1,850 per week on Long Island routes
- Weekly Guarantee: $1,500 per week on PA, MD, NYC routes
- Solo Miles Pay: $0.5565 per mile with 1,200–1,500 miles per week
- Solo Stops Pay: $21.19 per stop (average 30 stops per week)
- New York City Dispatch: $31.51 per dispatch
- Long Island Dispatch: $70.00 per dispatch
- Paid training
Schedule
- Monday – Friday (no weekends)
- Start time: 3:00 AM – 6:00 AM dispatch

Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass a Ryder drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
- Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
- Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
- 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
- 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
- 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
- 6 months flatbed trailer experience required
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules
- Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
- Maintain accurate records and logs
- Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by the customer
