Truck Driver CDL A Local Home Daily No Touch

Ryder is hiring a local Class A CDL Truck Driver in Indianapolis, IN. Deliver solo within a 250-mile radius covering IN, OH, KY, TN, and IL. Home daily with no-touch freight (auto parts) and strong backing skills required.

Pay

• $1,385 or more per week
• Shutdown Bonus: $2,000 within first year
• Sign-On Bonus: $1,000 at 30 days and $1,000 at 90 days
• Safety Bonus: $250 per quarter (if applicable)

Schedule

• Monday - Friday or Tuesday - Saturday
• Start time based on bids; AM or PM flexibility
• Local, home daily

Equipment & Route Details

• Tractor: Day cab, 36 months or newer
• Trailer: 53’ dry van with swing doors
• Freight: No-touch auto parts
• Company-paid scale bypass
• 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide locations

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
• Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
• Maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading if required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned
