Truck Driver CDL A Local Home Daily

Ryder is hiring a local Class A CDL Truck Driver in Ladson, SC. Deliver within a 4-mile radius, home daily, and operate well-maintained day cabs and yard trucks (36 months or newer) with 24/7 roadside maintenance support.

Pay

• Hourly Pay: $25.50 per hour
• Shift Pay: $1.00 per hour
• Hours: 40+ hours per week
• Weekly Pay: $1,060 or more

Schedule

• Monday – Friday; some Saturdays possible
• Start Time: 3:00 PM

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass Ryder drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check (including drug/alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
• Pass DOT physical and Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, regulations, policies, and procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
• Maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned
