Pay

  • Weekly average pay: $1,380
  • Hourly pay: $31.34 per hour + $6.16 per hour Health & Wellness Stipend
  • Hours per week: 33-46
  • Paid training

Schedule

  • 7-day operation with 1-2 days off per week
  • Start time: Primarily 8:45 PM - 11:45 PM

About the Role

  • Local home daily route within a 150-mile radius of Eagan, MN
  • Tractor type: Day cabs
  • Trailer type: Dry Van 53’
  • Equipment provided: Pallet jack & rolling carts (Ryder will train on all equipment)
  • Freight: Tailgate deliveries – US Mail
  • Operate well-maintained, safe trucks (36 months or newer) with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide locations

Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
  • Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
    • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
    • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
    • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines
  • Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
  • Maintain accurate records and logs
  • Load/unload freight or assist in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
  • Perform other duties as assigned
