About the role

Ryder Drivers on this account earn $2,100 or more weekly. The top 10% of drivers at this location make $120k+/yr. Drivers are paid weekly with the following structure:

• Hourly Pay: $28.00 per hour base pay plus an additional $1 for every 3 certifications/endorsements
• Overtime paid after 40 hours
• Per Diem Pay: $50.00 per night for overnights on route
• Paid travel for booked hotel or sleeper stays
• Tenure Bonus: $1,000 each year you are with the company (Nov. 1 to Oct. 31)

Deliver solo to Western 11 states on a regional OTR route. Tractor types include day cab or sleeper, and straight truck. Trailer types include dry van, reefer, and flatbed (28’, 48’, 53’). Equipment includes electric pallet jacks. Freight is a combination of touch and no-touch.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday (must be flexible)
• 40+ hours per week

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
• Maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
• Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Flatbed experience: 6–9 months required
• Doubles experience: 3 months required
• Able to accept automatic restrictions
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures
