Truck Driver CDL A Home Daily Yard Spotter

Ryder is hiring a local Class A CDL Truck Driver in Jackson, TN, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career with daily home time.

Pay

• Hourly Pay: $24.08 per hour
• Shift Pay: $1.00 per hour
• Hours Per Week: 40+ hours
• Weekly pay: $1,000 or more

Schedule

• Rotating schedule: Sun, Wed, Thurs one week; Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat the next
• Start Time: 6:00 PM

About the Role

• Route: Local, home daily
• Tractor Type: Day Cab (Ottawa)
• Trailer Type: Dry Van (53’)
• Freight: No touch
• Trucks: Well-maintained, 36 months or newer with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide locations
• Autonomy: Drivers make safety decisions with job protection

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
• Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
• Maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by the customer
