Truck Driver CDL A Home Daily Part Time

Ryder is hiring a Part Time Class A CDL Truck Driver in Oklahoma City, OK—offering weekly pay and a driving career you can feel good about.

Pay

• Up to $500 per week
• Solo Miles Avg: $0.67 per mile
• Stop Pay: $25.50 per stop
• Backhaul Pay: $29.50 per backhaul
• Paid Training
• Loyalty Bonus: $1,250 at 6 months and $1,250 at 1 year
• Performance/Safety bonus: $300–$500 four times a year (every quarter)
• Uniforms, cell phone, and boot allowance provided

Schedule

• On call
• Start Time: 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM
• Home Daily with occasional night out

About the Role

• Deliver solo to: TX, KS, AR, OK, NM, and MO
• Tractor Type: Sleeper & Day Cab
• Trailer Type: 53' Reefer (1 year of 53' reefer experience required with strong backing skills)
• Equipment: Pallet Jack
• Freight: Touch—Driver Assist Unload (Groceries)
• Operate well-maintained, safe trucks (36 months or newer) with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide locations
• Autonomy on the road with support behind the scenes

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor Vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
• Maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned
