About the role
AGK Logistics Inc. is a family-run business operating around 30 trucks, specializing in automotive expedite services with frequent regular truckload freight. Drivers typically return home during the week and enjoy weekends off, primarily covering the Mid-West region including Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Missouri, and Iowa. Our trucks are equipped with the latest Qualcomm technology, including Scale and Toll Passes, and we have an on-site mechanic for quick repairs or tire changes.
Responsibilities
- Operate a commercial vehicle with a valid CDL A license to transport goods safely and efficiently.
- Manage the loading and unloading of freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Navigate regional routes while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of driving experience.
- Willingness to be flexible and work during the week.
- Ability to pass the FMCSA drug screening.
- Solid PSP and MVR record.
