Truck Driver

About the role

The Truck Driver is responsible for delivering products to and from customers, company branch/warehouse locations, and suppliers using a delivery van or box truck (no CDL required). This role ensures deliveries are prepared efficiently, materials are correct and damage-free, and all documentation is completed accurately.

Responsibilities

• Inspect company vehicle for visual and operating defects; complete a daily inspection report.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, service, and repairs; alert supervisor of needed maintenance.
• Follow Department of Transportation (DOT), local, and state driving laws and regulations.
• Load and unload vehicle, verifying material quantity, type, and condition before departure.
• Assist in preparing orders for delivery as needed.
• Complete all delivery documentation, including customer-signed receipts, packing lists, and branch/warehouse manifests.
• Pick up material returns from customers; inspect condition, quantities, and catalog numbers.
• Pick up material from company suppliers.
• Senior Truck Drivers: Train and mentor entry-level drivers.
• Perform other branch duties as required, such as counter sales, order preparation, receiving, stocking, staging, shipping, and equipment maintenance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must attend company driver training if no prior experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Pass pre-employment and annual Motor Vehicle Record review.
• Obtain a non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire.
• No suspended driver’s license for traffic accidents/violations in the past 3 years.
• No at-fault accidents in the past 3 years.
• Ability to handle loads up to 26,000 GVW.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
