Truck Driver

About the role

Primary responsibility of operating an ROi vehicle which includes loading, delivery, and pick-up of various items with the possibility of being assigned additional responsibilities. The driver is responsible for the safe delivery of supplies and goods to/from ROi customers. The goods and services include, but are not limited to, supplies, mail, small pieces of equipment, lab specimens, food, pharmacy items, x-rays, recycle, shred, biohazard, oxygen, and laundry.

Responsibilities

• Pick-up and delivery of all items required at the time of service.
• Scan all packages with tracking labels using the ROi designated tracking system.
• Utilize daily equipment safely and without damage (scanning handheld, electric pallet jack, two-wheeler, vehicle, etc.). Log equipment in and out daily when required.
• Conduct daily check in staging area for product that needs to go out for delivery (e.g., driver mailbox, route racks, refrigerator).
• Inspect product before delivery as specified by ROi Transportation Leadership.
• Ensure all products are delivered on the same day.
• Maintain all assigned paperwork, including vehicle inspection reports, weekly driver reports, temperature logs, and laundry sheets. Submit reports to the office team as directed.
• Maintain all DOT-required paperwork in accordance with DOT standards (e.g., logbooks).
• Use phone and hands-free cell phone devices to stay in contact with the logistics office team for re-routing and improved customer service.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections of all equipment as required by ROi policy.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Class E license required; Class A or Class B licenses are also acceptable.

Qualifications

Preferred: One to five years of supply delivery experience with motor vehicles ranging in size from cars to straight trucks with gross weight up to 26,000 lbs. Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks (powered and non-powered), 2-wheel dollies, and carts is beneficial.

Monday - Friday, Noon - 8pm
