Truck Driver
Location – Papillion, NE

Other duties may be assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty.

• Truck Driver of tandem and single axle dump trucks or water trucks in a levee setting.
• To perform the duties of a Laborer as necessary.
• Maintain a safe work area.
• Communicate and work with the Project Support staff – QCM, SSHO, Superintendent, Site Coordinator.
• Communicate and professionally represent the Employer with government representatives and the public.

Required (Minimum Necessary)

• Education Requirements: High School or GED
• Level of Experience Requirements: 2+ years of demonstratable experience on levee projects for USACE.
• 2+ years of demonstratable experience working on bank restorations for USACE.
• Has completed a 10-hour OSHA Construction Safety Course.
• With a tanker endorsement is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Other Characteristics

• Experience of operating dump trucks and/or water trucks in tight areas constrained by structures, underground and overhead utilities, retaining walls, other vehicles parked along streets, etc.
• Driving through residential and urban areas and driving on levees.
• Experience of pulling equipment trailers.
• Experience operating water-trucks.
• Ability to complete and file paperwork in an organized and legible form.

This position will not have supervisory responsibilities.
DOT Covered/Safety-Sensitive Role Requirements
This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation “safety-sensitive” functions.

Necessary Physical Requirements

• The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
• Employees must always maintain a constant state of mental alertness.
• The physical setting: The job is performed in an outdoor setting with exposure to all weather conditions – rain, snow, cold and hot temperatures.
• Requires an extensive amount of driving during each shift.
• The job requires the use of smart phones, cameras, tablets, in the field.

Schedule and Flexibility

• The work schedule will require more than 8 hours per shift, nominally working Monday through Friday, work on weekends will be occasionally required.

Additional Qualifying Factors

• As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results.
• If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance levels required and must also be able to obtain access to military installations.
