Truancy Prevention Specialist

Position Summary

JusticeWorks YouthCare is seeking a Full-Time Truancy Prevention Specialist to make a meaningful impact by helping students improve school attendance and supporting families within the community. What You’ll Do

• Maintain records of student attendance and identify patterns of chronic absenteeism.
• Conduct home visits and meet with students and families to assess barriers affecting school attendance.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to improve attendance.
• Collaborate with schools, families, and community organizations to provide support and resources.
• Transport clients using your personal vehicle, as necessary.
• Monitor and evaluate truancy prevention efforts and recommend improvements when needed.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma required.
• A valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable access to a vehicle.
• Ability to pass required clearances.
• Ability to pass pre-employment, post-offer drug screening.
• Ability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.
