About the role
We are currently seeking Experienced Upholstery Trimmers, with a minimum of 3 years’ verifiable industry trimmer experience (general mechanical & fabrication is a plus), to join our team in the pursuit of our mission. We are looking for highly skilled and experienced auto upholstery trimmers. If you are passionate about your craft and enjoy working on cool cars, then this is the job for you. The ideal candidate must be a team player and have experience in making patterns, sewing, and fabricating interiors. Located in Ruther Glen, VA, Caroline Custom is a well-established Antique, Classic and Custom car maintenance, repair, fabrication and restoration company as well as a Van Conversion/Upfitter that has been in business for 25 years. Responsibilities
- Making patterns, sewing, and fabricating interiors
- Working on custom vehicle interiors, convertible tops, and custom headliners
- Proficiency with sewing machines and hand tools
- Knowledge of different automotive materials
- Leatherworking and vinyl repair from scratch
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Enthusiastic, high‑energy self‑starter thriving in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment
