Trimmer Die Assembler

Responsibilities

• Grinds impressions, polishes, blends welded or machined surfaces to required contour of the impression
• Technique of grinding and polishing is performed to die room standards
• Die and trimmer repair work consists of benching machined die surfaces, peening cracked impressions, blending, benching and polishing to put dies/trimmers in a serviceable condition
• Works with various tools to include gauges, templates and measuring instruments
• Sets tooling up to print
• Operates gantry and overhead cranes safely

Requirements

• 1 year of manufacturing environment experience
• A minimum of 1 year of machine and/or precision grinding experience
• Passing score in Aptitude/Accuplacer test

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift and overhead crane operation experience

Skills

• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to use hand tools
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Mechanically inclined
• Knowledge of die, cleaning and polishing operations (preferred)

Rotating Pitman schedule of 12-hour shift that operates on a 2-2-3 pattern from 5:00pm to 5:00am
