Trimble Operator (Cincinnati, OH)

Responsibilities and Duties

• Cook up multiple projects, from different phases of design, to wrap up on time
• Hook up with the field crew for layout tasks
• Visit the site regularly
• Chat often with the project team, which includes architects, engineers, and project managers
• Prepare files for the Trimble RTS for layout
• Meet with the project and general contractor team on-site to assess the status of control points and any other needs for layout
• Collaborate with BIM to make sure the files are precise for layout
• Act as a go-between for the BIM team and the project team regarding as-builts or existing conditions
• Keep updating the point files with all field conditions or changes
• Provide efficient and accurate layout to the field using the Trimble RTS
• Handle other duties as directed

Qualifications and Experience

• Proficient with Trimble, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite
• One to three years of hands-on mechanical/plumbing design experience is preferred
• Essential knowledge of Trimble

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• One to three months of related experience and/or training
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Associate degree, Technical Degree in drafting, or design technology is preferred

Physical Requirements

• Able to walk job sites
• Regularly required to stand, use hands for fine motor tasks, handle objects, feel textures, and reach with hands and arms
• Frequently required to walk
• Climb or balance occasionally
• Sometimes required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

• Valid Driver’s License
• OSHA 10 Certified
