Tribal Administrator

About the role

The Tribal Administrator oversees the day-to-day operations of the AlabamaQuassarte Tribal Town (AQTT). The role reports directly to the AQTT Governing Committee and is responsible for the effective and efficient administration of overall tribal operations.

Responsibilities

• Executive-level planning, organizing, directing, and evaluation of departments and programs
• Grant administration and oversight

Requirements

• Four (4) year degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Relations, or related degree desired; and, three to five years of experience in a management or administrative capacity in tribal government operations; OR a minimum of five years in administration and/or combination of education, training, and experience equal to five years of successful administration experience in a position of equal responsibility.
• Knowledge and experience in audit preparation, financial management, government fund accounting, human resources/personnel/employee supervision, and grant and contract management.
• Ability to multi-task and have excellent management, planning, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, etc.

Qualifications

Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, etc. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check, have a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and be insurable.
