We are an established real estate law firm with offices across California. Our Los Angeles office is looking for a Trial Preparation Specialist to join our fast-paced team. If chosen as the successful candidate, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely production of all pre-trial and post-trial documents in the trial phase of the unlawful detainer process. Compensation Range $27.00-$32.00 p/hour (DOE) Responsibilities Assist attorneys with contested evictions to ensure the efficient and timely production of all pre-trial and trial documents in the trial phase of the unlawful detainer processReview Answers and communicate with Client regarding potential defects/defensesPropound discovery and monitor responses or lack ofCreate case summaries for the assigned attorney Maintain communication with attorneys regarding upcoming court casesContact clients prior to trial to confirm dates, times, and court locationsOrganize exhibitsE-Filing documentsMake calls to court to follow up on matters Manage attorney’s calendars for court and trial datesProvide any needed support for jury trials or long bench trials where additional file organization is needed.Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications: 2+ years of legal or law firm experienceAbility to manage a high-volume workloadAbility to multi-task and complete work in a timely and efficient mannerExperience with e-filingStrong communication skills and attention to detailMinimum typing speed of 50 words per minuteFamiliarity with Microsoft Word and PDF editor The Following Qualifications Are Preferred ABA-approved paralegal certificateEssential Forms and ProLaw efficiency Schedule Position is full-time at 40 hours/week. Our business hours are 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm Friday. We currently offer a hybrid work model for select positions within the Firm. New hire employees who are offered a hybrid schedule will complete their onboarding and training in-office as deemed necessary for the position by the firm before transitioning to a hybrid schedule, subject to approval by their supervisor.
