Trial Attorney - Insurance Defense

Responsibilities
- Manage litigation and other legal assignments in alignment with guidelines set by the Law Department
- Prepare and summarize reports related to legal proceedings
- Develop and manage trial strategies and case progress through litigation phases
- Attend and actively participate in litigation events, including trials, mediations, depositions, and hearings
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense, medical malpractice, personal injury, or workers’ compensation
- Recent trial experience handling complex cases involving trials with significant exposure (beyond bench trials)
- Experience trying cases in the first or second chair is highly preferred
Key Skills
- Thorough knowledge of local and state discovery rules, trial procedures, and applicable substantive law at an advanced level
- Proven experience handling trials, mediations, and depositions
- Strong file ownership and case management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficient working with electronic case files
- Experience using Case Management systems
- Familiarity with Document Storage systems
