Trial Attorney - Insurance Defense

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation and other legal assignments in alignment with guidelines set by the Law Department
• Prepare and summarize reports related to legal proceedings
• Develop and manage trial strategies and case progress through litigation phases
• Attend and actively participate in litigation events, including trials, mediations, depositions, and hearings

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense, medical malpractice, personal injury, or workers’ compensation
• Recent trial experience handling complex cases involving trials with significant exposure (beyond bench trials)
• Experience trying cases in the first or second chair is highly preferred

Key Skills

• Thorough knowledge of local and state discovery rules, trial procedures, and applicable substantive law at an advanced level
• Proven experience handling trials, mediations, and depositions
• Strong file ownership and case management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Proficient working with electronic case files
• Experience using Case Management systems
• Familiarity with Document Storage systems
