Triage RN- full-time, Emergency Room Department

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Nurse Supervisor, the Registered Nurse - Triage provides indirect professional nursing care to patients ages 0 to over 100 in accordance with established Corporate and departmental policies and procedures and state and federal laws to ensure safe, efficient, and effective patient care. Functions as primary liaison between patients, staff, and physicians.

Schedule

• Position 1: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 9 pm – 9 am
• Position 2: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 9 am – 7 pm
• Hours and dates are subject to change

Qualifications

Education and Formal Training

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Currently registered in the State of Texas as a Registered Nurse
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC required
• ENPC and CEN preferred

Work Experience

• Less than one month (must complete Preceptorship program as determined by Nursing Education)
• One or more years of Emergency Department experience as a Registered Nurse preferred
