About the role
We are seeking an experienced, compassionate Registered Nurse to serve as the front line of remote clinical support. In this role, you will provide high-quality assessment, guidance, and care coordination via telephone and digital platforms, working autonomously in a structured, supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Receive inbound and place outbound calls to patients, conducting clinical assessments based on established protocols and triaging patients by phone or patient portal.
- Respond to patient messages in the portal, create orders, and route them to appropriate parties.
- Provide administrative support for FMLA, ADA, and short-/long-term disability needs.
- Support training and onboarding of team members, including shadowing shifts as both learner and trainer, while reinforcing best practices.
- Communicate with healthcare providers through approved methods as needed.
- Perform other duties necessary to drive company values, fulfill our mission, and uphold our standards.
- Work remotely in a private, HIPAA-compliant workspace with company-provided equipment and broadband internet (minimum 24 Mbps download / 4 Mbps upload).
Requirements
- Active, unencumbered RN license (e-NLC); California and Minnesota licensure required.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in direct patient care settings, including Emergency Department, Labor and Delivery, Critical Care, or Women’s Health (Labor and Delivery experience preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Adult Nursing; Oncology experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Greenway) and Windows-based software (Adobe, MS Word, Excel, fax).
- Excellent written and verbal communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work within approved clinical guidelines and procedures.
- Regular, reliable attendance during scheduled hours (Friday–Sunday, 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM CST).
- Good visual and auditory acuity for computer-based work and headset use.
- May require use of personal mobile device for EMR authentication.
