Responsibilities

  • Provide professional clinical care for patients following established standards and practices.
  • Perform extensive OB/GYN triage via telephone and call patients with test results.
  • Perform fetal non-stress test (NST).
  • Prepare patients for examination and assist physician during treatment, procedures, examinations, and testing of patients.
  • Record patients' medical history, health maintenance, and chief complaint.
  • Measure, record, and document vital signs.
  • Perform phlebotomy, injections, and other specimen collection per established policies and procedures as directed by the provider where applicable.
  • Prepare and administer medications as directed by a provider.
  • Authorize drug refills as directed.
  • Educate patients by providing information and instructions as directed by the provider; answering questions.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  • Sterilize medical instruments per established standards and procedures.
  • Represent the office in a professional manner and treat all customers, internal and external, courteously and cooperatively.
  • Participate in team activities and professional development activities.
  • Demonstrate and embody the Women’s Care mission and core values.
  • Comply with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the same state in which you are working.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain BLS/CPR certification.
  • Strong bedside manner and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in a stressful, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to communicate with coworkers, providers, and patients in a courteous and effective manner.
  • Ability to use a computer and enter data in an electronic medical record system; experience with eCW is a plus.
  • Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual.
