Triage Nurse (32062)

Responsibilities

• Makes patient assessments and responds to patient needs by responding to patients over the phone line.
• Collaborates with providers to ensure quality patient care in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and accreditation standards.
• Maintains accurate and detailed documentation and follows patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA and company policies and procedures.
• Schedules patients to see a physician during office hours and arranges appointments as needed.
• Consults with physicians as necessary and delivers patient education based on individualized needs.
• Serves as a clinical resource and professional role model for other staff.
• Prioritizes work tasks and completes them in a timely manner.
• Maintains accurate, clear, and concise progress notes, problem lists, and medication lists.
• Communicates respectfully with staff, consultants, and patients.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: Associates degree in nursing.
• Active and valid nursing license in good standing from the state the practice is located in.
• One (1) year triage experience preferred.
