We are proud to offer hands-on experiences that prepare interns for a career in conservation, animal wellbeing and education in a zoological and aquarium setting. Our internship program is designed for college students and recent college graduates.
About the role
Interns will gain valuable experience in various areas including animal care, habitat management, educational programming, and research. They will work closely with experienced staff and participate in all aspects of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily animal care routines
- Support habitat maintenance and enrichment activities
- Contribute to educational programs and exhibits
- Participate in research projects and data collection
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a relevant field of study (e.g., biology, zoology, environmental science)
- Strong interest in conservation and animal welfare
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passport required for international travel (if applicable)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with animals or in a similar field
- Basic computer literacy
