About the role
Safely navigate oar/paddle rafts down Class I – III rivers
Work positively with other team members to implement all aspects of a Glacier Raft Co trip in order to provide guests with a safe, meaningful, and memorable fishing experience
Provide risk management capability in remote/backcountry settings
Provide meaningful interpretation to our guests on natural and cultural history topics such as geology, flora and fauna, ecology, etc.
Give effective and demonstrative safety talks
Engage with our guests in a positive, friendly, and supportive manner
Offer assistance to guests and teammates where needed
Be a utility player who can complete a variety of job duties
Responsibilities
- Safely navigate oar/paddle rafts down Class I – III rivers
- Work positively with other team members to implement all aspects of a Glacier Raft Co trip in order to provide guests with a safe, meaningful, and memorable fishing experience

Requirements
- Previous whitewater guiding experience strongly preferred
- Completion of GRC 6-day guide school
- CPR & First Aid Certification or Advanced Medical Certification
- Be willing and able to work solo or as part of a team
- Be organized with a great eye for detail
- Be kind to others and always bring your best
- Be a good communicator, always suggesting ideas and solutions
