Tree Worker / Arborist Trainee

Responsibilities

• Works with a Tree Crew to prune trees and remove trees of all sizes efficiently and safely.
• Responsible for quality control on trees, including ensuring proper pruning cuts, following proper safety standards.
• Meets daily route/project requirements of Green Summit contracts and other work that is sold.
• Works with a team of 2-4 people.
• Responsible for safe operation of all equipment required to complete the work on any given workday.
• Must be able to drive a manual transmission vehicle and will be trained to use a truck mounted boom lift.
• Meets with Client Relationship Manager on sites when needed.
• Trains with crews weekly to meet Green Summit’s quality and operational standards.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 10+ pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35+ pounds.
• The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.
• Most importantly, this employee must have tree climbing skills or be willing and able to learn how to safely and efficiently climb trees to prune them.
