Tree Climber Technician / Arborist Trainee

Responsibilities

• Leads a Tree Crew to prune trees and remove trees of all sizes efficiently and safely.
• Oversees all quality control on trees, including ensuring proper pruning cuts, proper safety standards, and proper training is taking place.
• Maintains daily route/project requirements of Green Summit Contracts and other work that is sold.
• Manages a team of 2-4 people.
• Operates all equipment required to complete the work on any given workday.
• Maintains productivity budgets for work that is bid, including checking timecards for accuracy and adjusting the schedule as needed.
• Meets with Client Relationship Managers on sites when needed.
• Trains crews weekly to meet Green Summit’s quality and operational standards.

Qualifications

• Operate most small engine equipment used on a daily basis, including but not limited to Chain Saw, Trencher, Hedge Trimmer, and Skid Steer.
• Ability to drive a ¾ ton truck, or bigger, with a 18’ trailer hauling equipment.
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
• Tree climbing skills and the ability to safely and efficiently climb trees to prune them.
