Experience And Training
- At least 3 years of verifiable work as a tree climber.
- Familiarity with climbing palms and all species of trees ranging in height from 20 feet to 75+ feet tall.
- Knowledge of and adherence to standards set forth by the ISA and ANSI for safety.
- Completion of aerial rescue courses annually.
- Participation in weekly Tailgate Safety Meetings.
- In-house training from three ISA Certified Arborists.
Full Job Description
- Demonstrate and perform proper pruning and safety practices.
- Work safely and efficiently in temperatures exceeding 110 degrees.
- Climb living and dead trees using proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), rigging techniques, and equipment.
- Trim and remove various types of trees of different sizes.
- Operate equipment such as Skid Loaders, Hydraulic and Manual Stump Grinders, Chainsaws, Brush Chippers, Extension Power Pruners, etc.
- Maintain company equipment by sharpening chainsaw chains, cleaning air filters, and lubing grease points.
Work Schedule
- Four 10-hour days per week.
- Always have Fridays off.
- Available to work on Fridays, weekends, emergency call outs, and during monsoon storm season.
Compensation And Benefits
- Non-Certified Tree Climber: $20 - $30 per hour, with pay negotiable for an experienced candidate with certifications.
