Tree Climber Specialist

Four Peaks Landscape Management is a full‑service commercial landscape company serving the Phoenix area. The Arbor Division is expanding rapidly and is seeking a Tree Climber Specialist.

Requirements

• Personal climbing equipment – required
• 3 years of verified climbing experience – required
• Valid AZ driver’s license with a clean driving record – required
• Experience climbing palms and all tree species from 20 ft to 75 + ft tall
• Familiarity with species names, common health concerns, and species‑specific pruning practices
• Knowledge of ISA and ANSI safety standards, proper PPE, job‑site procedures, climbing techniques, approved knots, and rigging systems
• Ability to operate equipment such as skid loaders, hydraulic and manual stump grinders, chainsaws, brush chippers, and extension power pruners

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and perform proper pruning and safety practices
• Work safely and efficiently in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
• Climb living and dead trees using proper PPE, rigging techniques, and equipment; trim and remove trees of all sizes
• Maintain company equipment (sharpen chainsaw chains, clean air filters, lubricate grease points, etc.)
• Follow direction, meet production and quality standards, and support team objectives
• Participate in weekly Tailgate Safety Meetings, annual aerial‑rescue courses, and in‑house training from ISA‑certified arborists

Schedule

Four 10‑hour days per week with Fridays off. Availability may be required on Fridays, weekends, for emergency call‑outs, and during the monsoon storm season.

Pay

$20 – $33 per hour DOE; pay negotiable for candidates with certifications.
