Treatment Support Specialist - Full-Time

About the role

The Salvation Army Midtown Services and Treatment Center is seeking a full-time Treatment Support Specialist to join their team. This position will oversee various substance abuse programs including Detox, Residential, and Outpatient Treatment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client evaluation interviews and develop treatment plans
• Absorb and administer breathalyzer and urinalysis tests
• Perform routine search and seizure procedures
• Orient new clients to the program
• Conduct financial screenings and refer clients to appropriate resources
• Counsel detox clients about treatment options and refer to MAT if necessary
• Lead group counseling sessions for Residential, Outpatient, and Family Support programs
• Assist with intake and placement of clients
• Answer phones and screen calls, placing clients on waitlists or referring them to the Intake Coordinator

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with one year of work experience
• Must be a team player, self-starter, and able to work with minimal supervision
• Must have good communication skills and be able to work with diverse personalities
• Must be supportive of The Salvation Army's mission and policies
• Must pass a Family Safety Care Registry Check, Hepatitis A vaccine documentation, Annual TB test, Current CPR certificate, and Serv-Safe Certification
• Must be capable of lifting up to 40 pounds occasionally and working in an office environment with occasional computer use and phone calls
