Requirements
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
- Graduation from a standard senior high school, or the successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) test.
- A minimum of one year experience at the level of a Treatment Plant Operator Trainee.
- A combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.
- Must be certified in water or wastewater treatment by the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM).
- Out-of-state certifications may be accepted, but ADEM certification must be completed within 6 months of employment.
- Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence.
