Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height and weight for clinic patients and places patient in treatment room.
• Performs venipuncture, accesses mediports, and starts IVs as ordered.
• Responsible for properly labeling all blood samples and submitting to lab.
• Cleans and maintains treatment rooms with the appropriate level of supplies and maintains a clean and safe work area.
• Performs treatment room functions such as rounding on patients, assisting the nurses, and documenting appropriately.
• Assists in triage area with patient scheduling and daily prep.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent and certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited school.
