Treatment Director Overview

As a Treatment Director at SAFY's Fort Collins, Colorado division, you will oversee the treatment and quality of care for youth in placement through programs like Therapeutic Foster Care and Family Preservation. Your responsibilities include providing crisis intervention, overseeing the intake and placement process, participating in rule violation investigations, and ensuring compliance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide crisis intervention and oversight of the intake and placement process.
  • Coordinate with Case Coordinators, Clinical Therapists, and Family Development Specialists to expedite placement of youth referred.
  • Participate in rule violation investigations and placement preservation meetings.
  • Review and approve all treatment foster home certifications and re-certifications.
  • Fill in for various positions during absences or vacancies.
  • Rotate 24/7/365 on-call support for the families SAFY serves.

Compliance/Reporting

  • Ensure youth, foster parent, and other client files are in compliance at all times.
  • Perform routine file audits with appropriate Division and auditing staff.
  • Visit all foster homes according to SAFY policy and all referral sources annually.
  • Prepare reports, as required, in a timely manner.

Supervisory Lead

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing divisional team.
  • Provide direction to staff in answering problems and advising on performance and youth challenges.
  • Establish performance goals for the division and monitor progress.
  • Interview candidates applying for assigned clinical and non-clinical positions in the division.
  • Train assigned staff, including thorough and complete training for new employees and ensuring ongoing education.
  • Assign performance goals, conduct monthly supervision, and perform scheduled evaluations for all direct reports.
  • Supervise treatment plan development and reviews.
  • Provide supervisory backup for treatment foster parents and staff.
  • Conduct division treatment team meetings.
  • Work with State Director and finance department to develop an annual operating budget and work within that budget once approved.
  • Review monthly financial information and make suggestions when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, sociology, child & family studies, or other related field of human services.
  • LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LPCC, required.
  • Three years experience in the field of social services; one year in a supervisory/administrative capacity and two years in providing direct care services.
  • A valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and auto insurance coverage to meet travel requirements; may require transporting youth if needed.

Pay

$66,000.00 to $86,000.00 target hiring range, commensurate with transferrable experience, education, and licensure of candidate, location of position, along with internal equity and budgeted amount for the role.
