About the role

We are seeking a licensed Mental Health Professional to join our administrative team as a Treatment Director. In this role, you will diagnose and treat psychological disorders, teach communication skills, assist clients in addressing dysfunctional behaviors, and guide them through crises. You will also oversee the day-to-day operations of the program and supervise staff.

Responsibilities

  • Implements and enforces all policies and procedures pertaining to the agency's mental health services; stays current on changing policies, laws, and requirements for all mental health programs; assures Federal and State regulations are being followed.
  • Meets regularly with the CEO to share information regarding mental health services and review employee performance related to their clinical care of clients.
  • Participates in regular meetings with team, operations, and management.
  • Actively seeks out and provides education and outreach opportunities.
  • Responsible for the reputation and public image of the agency.
  • Develops and maintains positive working relationships within the community.
  • Refers clients to other professionals as needed.
  • Communicates with other providers involved in mental health services.
  • Maintains continued education on community resources.
  • Has knowledge of all agency programs.
  • Promotes creative problem solving and collaborative person-centered services by facilitating regular staff meetings and providing clinical consultation to staff.
  • Plans for and trains staff on clinical issues.
  • Reviews all clinical paperwork (e.g. Functional Assessments, Treatment/Service Plans, external Diagnostic Assessments).
  • Conducts and writes diagnostic assessments and interpretive summaries.
  • Is available in the office or by phone for staff consultation.
  • Provides psychotherapy to adults through individual, couple, group, and/or family.
  • Makes referrals, coordinates services, monitors and evaluates the delivery of services.
  • Provides Community Based Services.
  • Provides services in various billable locations.
  • Maintains professional relationships with individuals we support, employees, DHS, counties, and other community providers.
  • Creates professional reports.
  • Handles crisis situations and provides direction to staff when necessary.
  • Identifies client needs and treatment plan goals.
  • Performs other related duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

Qualified as a Mental Health Professional under the requirements of the Department of Human Services (DHS) with a Master's degree in one of the behavioral sciences or a related field, and licensed as one of the following: Licensed Psychologist (LP), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), Psychiatric Physician, Osteopathic Physician, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, or is working on a clinical license.

  • A willingness and ability to work with clients receiving intensive residential treatment services (IRTS).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Department of Human Services requirements, policies and procedures for IRTS and 245I statutes.
  • Thorough skill reading, writing and conducting diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Willingness to be trained in and implement restrictive procedures within the guidelines of 245I statutes.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students.
  • Ability to establish and maintain standards of behavior.
  • Ability to work as an effective member of a team with staff, clients, clinical providers, and the community through the building and maintaining of collaborative and positive relationships.
  • Good oral, written, and interpersonal communication that is maintained during high-stress and crisis situations.
  • General skill operating standard office equipment and applicable hardware and software.
