Treasury Intern

Job Summary

The Treasury Intern reports directly to the Corporate Treasurer and provides support to the Investments department. This role assists with fixed income portfolio administration, investment documentation, reporting, and operational support while gaining exposure to bank investment activities, portfolio monitoring, and related accounting and compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Aid with fixed income portfolio support, including organizing trade documentation, maintaining investment files, and updating portfolio records.
• Support the preparation and review of investment reports, schedules, and other materials used for internal monitoring, accounting support, and management reporting.
• Track portfolio activity, including purchases, sales, maturities, calls, paydowns, interest receipts, and related documentation.
• Assist with additional tasks and projects as assigned.
• Comply with all applicable state and federal banking laws, regulations, and internal policies related to lending, operations, and deposit requirements, including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulations, Customer Identification Program (CIP) requirements, Financial Elder Abuse reporting laws, Sexual Harassment prevention policies, information security and privacy requirements.

Compliance Responsibilities

Complies with all applicable state and federal banking laws, regulations, and internal policies related but not limited to lending, operations, and deposit requirements, including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulations, Customer Identification Program (CIP) requirements, Financial Elder Abuse reporting laws, Sexual Harassment prevention policies, information security and privacy requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Basic computer literacy with foundational knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while performing repetitive tasks.

Equipment Operated

Operates standard electronic computers and customary office equipment required to perform essential job functions. Use of equipment is required, with or without reasonable accommodation, in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA).

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to perform repetitive movements associated with office and computer-based work.
• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time to perform essential job functions.

• Ability to use hands and fingers to manage, manipulate, or feel objects and operate standard office equipment.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED required.

Compensation

The listed range represents the full compensation range for this position. Placement within the range will be determined based on factors including skills, relevant experience, job-related qualifications, geographic location, and internal equity, in accordance with Bank compensation policies. Non-Exempt Hourly Rate: $16.50 – $24.50 per hour.
