Treasury Associate, FX & Interest Rate Hedging - PFS

About the role

The Treasury team sources and negotiates bespoke financing for Illiquid Private Credit investments (Single Asset Financing) and mitigates currency and interest rate volatility. The team works closely with Investment teams, Deal Execution, Fund Accounting, and Fund Finance to ensure liquidity management and resource optimization.

HPS is seeking an Associate to join the Treasury team in New York, supporting the PFS platform with operational and reporting responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Head of Treasury and assist in coordinating team activities.
• Support portfolio liquidity reporting for Public Credit Trading Funds, including Prime Brokerage, Loan Facilities, and structured financing vehicles.
• Fulfill ISDA and bespoke financing reporting requirements.
• Provide operational support for credit trading activity.
• Assist with AML-KYC onboarding and documentation for new fund launches.
• Resolve trade-related issues such as trade breaks, allocation, and settlement problems.
• Liaise with counterparties on treasury issues impacting the Fund’s investment portfolio.
• Support daily position reconciliation, trade settlement, and valuation of traded hedge assets.
• Maintain data integrity of internal trade capture, risk, and performance reporting systems.
• Assist in ad-hoc projects (e.g., Treasury Management System Onboarding, Exposure Reporting).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related business field.
• 3+ years of work experience in credit-based financial services.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to a steep learning curve.
• Strong problem-solving ability and diligence.
• Willingness to work with and learn new software applications.
• Ability to collaborate with infrastructure teams and investment professionals.
• Knowledge of VPM, Microsoft Power BI, and Bloomberg is preferred.
• Adherence to the highest ethical standards, personally and professionally.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Pay

For New York, NY, the salary range for this position is USD $105,000.00 – USD $135,000.00. Employees are also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and benefits, including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. Total compensation may vary based on role, location, and individual performance.

Schedule

BlackRock’s hybrid work model requires employees to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week.
