About the role
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Treasury Analyst, Regulatory Operations based in the United States. This role sits at the intersection of treasury management, financial operations, and regulatory compliance within a fast-growing technology-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage daily customer fund segregation and secured amount calculations while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal control standards.
- Monitor and manage daily cash positioning and liquidity across multiple accounts to support customer withdrawals, margin obligations, and regulatory requirements.
- Review, approve, and coordinate wire transfers according to established treasury policies, approval workflows, and fraud prevention controls.
- Manage exchange and clearinghouse margin funding activities, including initial and variation margin movements, while proactively monitoring funding needs.
- Analyze liquidity exposure, identify potential risks or shortfalls, and recommend actions to optimize cash utilization.
- Maintain accurate records of cash movements, collateral balances, treasury activity, and account reconciliations.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on treasury operations, customer fund protection requirements, liquidity management, and regulatory processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 5-8+ years of experience in treasury, cash management, regulatory operations, or financial operations within a regulated financial institution.
- Experience working in environments such as Futures Commission Merchants (FCMs), broker-dealers, clearing firms, banks, custodians, or similar regulated organizations.
- Direct experience with customer protection calculations, including CFTC segregation, secured amount requirements, or SEC Rule 15c3-3 reserve calculations.
- Strong understanding of treasury operations, liquidity management, cash forecasting, wire controls, collateral management, and bank reconciliations.
- Experience independently managing critical treasury processes requiring strong judgment, accuracy, and operational discipline.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong collaboration skills with experience partnering across Accounting, Compliance, Operations, and external financial institutions.
- Strong understanding of segregation of duties, internal controls, and risk management practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in highly regulated environments.
- Experience supporting regulatory examinations, audits, and regulatory reporting is preferred.
- Familiarity with CFTC Regulations1.20-1.32, customer protection requirements, and regulatory reporting platforms such as NFA WinJammer or similar systems is a plus.
- Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation or experience with exchanges, clearinghouses, margin funding, or collateral management is preferred.
