About the role
The President of the Buffalo Pepin Literacy Alliance Board oversees strategic planning, ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, and manages the board's interactions with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee strategic planning and development of the organization's long-term goals
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to adult education and literacy programs
- Manage communication and coordination with board members, staff, volunteers, and external partners
- Represent the organization at community events and meetings
- Develop and maintain relationships with funders and other key stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in education, social work, or a related field
- Experience in adult education or literacy programs
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
