About the Role

Our client is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to support a growing portfolio of secure interior construction and tenant improvement projects. This is an opportunity to join a contractor with a strong pipeline of work in highly sensitive environments, overseeing projects where coordination, attention to detail, schedule management, and quality execution are critical.

The successful candidate will lead field operations on secure interior build-outs, renovations, and tenant improvement projects from mobilization through turnover. These projects often involve working in active facilities with strict access requirements, demanding clients, and carefully managed construction activities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day field operations on secure interiors and tenant improvement projects
  • Manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple trades throughout construction
  • Maintain project schedules, quality standards, and site safety requirements
  • Oversee interior demolition, framing, drywall, ceilings, finishes, doors, hardware, and MEP coordination
  • Ensure compliance with client-specific security protocols and operational requirements
  • Coordinate construction activities in occupied or security-sensitive environments
  • Proactively identify and resolve field issues to keep projects on schedule
  • Partner with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery
  • Manage punch list completion, closeout activities, and final turnover

Requirements

  • Experience as a Superintendent within commercial construction
  • Strong background delivering interior fit-outs, tenant improvements, or renovation projects
  • Experience working within secure, regulated, mission critical, government, defense, healthcare, or similarly controlled environments is highly desirable
  • Proven ability to manage field operations, subcontractors, schedules, and quality control
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel for project assignments as required
