Travelling Construction Safety Specialist

About the role

• Take ownership of onsite safety across major commercial construction projects, ensuring compliance with OSHA requirements, company procedures, and project safety standards.
• Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, site teams, and other stakeholders to identify hazards, implement corrective actions, and maintain a strong safety culture.
• Travel between long-term project assignments across the US, with individual projects potentially lasting 8-18 months before transitioning to the next site.
• Operate independently in a hands-on site environment, supporting safety inspections, reporting, training, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction safety with strong knowledge of OSHA requirements and commercial construction environments.
• OSHA 500 certification required; CSP certification strongly preferred.
• Comfortable being a dedicated traveling safety professional, working away from home for extended project assignments across the US.
• Confident, practical, and proactive communicator who can build credibility with project teams, subcontractors, and site personnel.

Pay

• $40-$48/hr + overtime
• $3000 tax-free per diem
• $475/month car allowance
• 20% bonus
• ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan)
