Safety Site Specialist (Traveling)

InPwr, Inc. is seeking a Safety Specialist to join their dynamic team. Located in Indianapolis, IN, with offices in Denver, CO, and Los Angeles, CA, they are an award-winning electrical design-build firm with over 40 state licenses and projects across the nation. Responsibilities
- Conduct daily job-site safety inspections and complete electronic daily reports
- Aid the Site Safety Supervisor with incident investigations, evidence collection, witness statements, and corrective-action tracking
- Issue hot-work permits, confined-space entry permits, excavation permits, and other daily permits
- Verify subcontractor paperwork (safety programs, training records, insurance, etc.)
- Coach foremen and craft workers on proper PPE use, fall protection, scaffolding, LOTO, and other high-risk activities
- Deliver daily/weekly toolbox talks and new-hire safety orientations as directed
- Maintain safety bulletin boards, signage, first-aid stations, and fire extinguishers
- Track and order PPE and basic safety supplies for the site
- Enter near-miss and observation cards into the company safety software
- Participate in weekly subcontractor safety meetings and site audits
- Immediately report serious hazards or stop-work situations to the Site Safety Supervisor
- Support the Site Safety Supervisor during owner or OSHA inspections
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of construction field safety experience (commercial, industrial, or electrical projects preferred)
- Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction card
- Strong verbal communication skills and ability to coach/coach-up craft workers without creating conflict
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and mobile safety apps (Procore, Safety Reports, etc.)
- Ability to walk large job sites daily, climb ladders, and work in all weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background check/drug screen
Preferred (but Not Required)
- OSHA 500/501, CHST, STS-C, or First Aid/CPR Instructor
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Prior electrical or specialty contractor experience

Qualifications
The Site Safety Specialist is the designated safety authority on the project and is responsible for the overall implementation, enforcement, and continuous improvement of the project’s safety and health program. This position serves as the primary on-site safety leader, directs lower-tier safety staff, and ensures full compliance with OSHA, owner, and company requirements.
Physical Demands
This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting or standing, repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Employees in this position must be physically able to efficiently perform the essential functions of the position.
