Traveling Teller (20 Hour) - South Salt Lake and Northern Utah County

About the role

Zions Bank’s Retail Support department is a team of traveling tellers and bankers who provide coverage for branches across their geographical area when regular staff are absent. This position offers an opportunity to gain a broad skill set in banking fundamentals while building a network within the organization. The role supports branch operations, helps fulfill strategic objectives, and advances Zions Bank’s company vision.

This position primarily supports branches in the South Salt Lake and Northern Utah County area, with occasional coverage extending as far north as Salt Lake City and as far south as Provo. Mileage reimbursements are provided for travel exceeding 25 miles round trip from the employee’s home.

Minimum pay is $17 an hour.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process debit and credit transactions in compliance with established policies and procedures while maintaining an acceptable balancing record.
• Identify and address clients' needs by providing services such as opening new accounts, issuing counter checks, performing account maintenance, issuing/activating ATM cards, processing money transfers, ordering checks, receiving loan payments, and more.
• Resolve client problems either directly or by referring them to appropriate branch or bank resources.
• Identify and maximize cross-sell opportunities by exploring client needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Some cashiering, customer service, balancing, or related experience.
• Basic knowledge of math, cashiering, balancing, debits, credits, bank products, and/or banking.
• Solid balancing and customer service skills.
• Ability to cross-sell bank products based on client needs.

Qualifications

• Experience selling products and services based on customer needs is preferred.
