Traveling Teller (20 Hour) - Duchesne, Vernal, Roosevelt

About the role

Zions Bank’s Retail Support team consists of traveling tellers and bankers who fill in at branches throughout their geographical area when regular staff are absent. This position offers an opportunity to gain a broad skill set in banking fundamentals while building a network across multiple locations. The role supports branch operations, helps fulfill strategic objectives, and advances Zions Bank’s company vision.

Minimum pay is $17.00 an hour. This position primarily supports branches in the Duchesne, Vernal, and Roosevelt area. Mileage reimbursements are provided whenever an employee travels over 25 miles round trip from their home.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process debit and credit transactions in compliance with established policies and procedures while maintaining an acceptable balancing record.
• Identify and address clients' needs by providing services such as opening new accounts, issuing counter checks, performing account maintenance, issuing/activating ATM cards, performing money transfers, ordering checks, and receiving loan payments.
• Resolve client problems either through direct action or by referring to alternative branch or bank resources.
• Identify and maximize cross-sell opportunities by exploring client needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Some cashiering, customer service, balancing, or related experience.
• Basic knowledge of math, cashiering, balancing, debits, credits, bank products, and/or banking.
• Solid balancing and customer service skills.
• Ability to cross-sell bank products based on client needs.
• Experience selling products and services based on customer needs is preferred.
