Traveling Superintendent - Industrial & Commercial Construction

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide full on-site supervision of industrial and commercial construction projects.
  • Implement and enforce quality control and safety management programs.
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel.
  • Maintain and update the master project schedule, including developing and managing 3-week look-ahead schedules.
  • Utilize Procore for document management, RFIs, daily reports, and progress photos.
  • Oversee equipment, tooling, and field resource management.
  • Lead weekly meetings with owners, architects, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and contract requirements.
  • Cook up inspections and maintain jobsite documentation.
  • Proactively identify and resolve field issues to maintain schedule and budget.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial and/or industrial construction.
  • Strong working knowledge of construction scheduling and site logistics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Procore, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Project.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, BIM, and Navisworks is a plus.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to lead diverse teams.
  • Able to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Relevant university degree or diploma is a plus.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Extended travel required to oversee projects nationwide; per diem provided while traveling.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and terrain.
  • Regular sitting, standing, walking, climbing ladders and stairs.
  • Able to lift and move objects up to 100 pounds.

Schedule

Full-Time
Monday – Friday
Extended travel required; occasional weekend work may be necessary based on project schedules.

Extended out-of-town travel required to support active job sites
