Traveling Superintendent - Commercial Construction
An established national construction and design-build firm is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee ground-up commercial construction projects throughout Georgia and the Southeast. Responsibilities
- Manage all on-site construction activities from groundbreaking through project completion
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and project stakeholders
- Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure milestone achievement
- Lead daily site meetings and subcontractor coordination efforts
- Enforce safety policies and maintain a culture of jobsite excellence
- Perform quality control inspections and ensure work meets project specifications
- Identify and resolve construction issues proactively
- Monitor manpower, productivity, and material deliveries
- Maintain project documentation, daily reports, and progress updates
- Partner closely with the Project Manager to achieve budget and schedule objectives
Requirements
- 4+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial construction
- Proven success delivering ground-up Church, K-12, and Entertainment Facility projects
- Strong understanding of commercial construction methods and sequencing
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Experience managing multiple subcontractors and large field teams
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- OSHA knowledge and commitment to jobsite safety
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required
