Traveling Superintendent - Data Center Construction

About the role

The Traveling Data Center Construction Superintendent will work throughout the US, primarily in the South/Southeast on $500M+ projects. There is excellent support across the board for the field team which makes the job easier on this large scale projects.

With nearly nine decades of construction experience, this general contractor provides integrated design, engineering, and construction services across the United States. The GC serves diverse markets including data center, healthcare, light industrial, multifamily, senior living, hospitality, and office construction. Known for managing complex, large-scale projects, it has established a strong national presence and reputation for quality project execution.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily on-site construction activities to ensure project timelines and goals are met.
• Coordinate and oversee subcontractors and vendors to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Monitor and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
• Communicate regularly with project managers, stakeholders, and team members to provide updates and address issues.
• Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure all work meets required standards.
• Resolve on-site challenges and provide solutions to keep the project moving forward.
• Travel to various sites across the United States to supervise data center construction projects.

Requirements

• Experience with overseeing construction projects, specifically in the property or data center sector.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to manage teams and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to enforcing them on-site.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively across the United States.

Pay

Competitive annual salary between $140,000 and $160,000.
