Traveling Superintendent

Responsibilities

  • Plan procedures based on start & completion times & staffing requirements for each phase.
  • Plan & set up efficient jobsite layout, including site utilization and primary control.
  • Plan & establish flow of the work activities on the project.
  • Direct development of overall Project Schedule.
  • Uphold jobsite safety in compliance with OSHA regulations & R&M Safety Program.
  • Manage: Field Superintendents, MEP Coordinators, Assistant Superintendents, Project Engineers, Field Engineers, Safety Engineers, Foremen, Field Assistants, Field Office Assistants, Jobsite Assistants & all craft persons.
  • May also manage: Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager.
  • Lead supervisors & trade partners engaged in planning & executing work, interpreting specifications & coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays.
  • Implement & lead near term scheduling meetings & address issues arising from meetings.
  • Manage all field operations of trade partners to effectively complete their work.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, analyze & interpret contract documents, safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions & procedure manuals.
  • 10+ years of construction experience/training as a Superintendent.
  • OSHA 30 Hour certification preferred. If not current, receive within 1st year & keep current.
  • Knowledge of all facets of ground up Healthcare Construction/New Renovation.

Qualifications

  • Open to regional travel and relocation throughout the state of Texas.
