Traveling Superintendent
About the role
rand* construction is an award-winning, woman-owned national commercial contractor specializing in tenant interiors, retail, restaurants, and building renovations. Founded in 1989, rand* has grown to offer a wide range of services to national and regional clients.
Responsibilities
- Work on exciting projects in different markets, often with extended overnight stays out of town.
- Supervise work of all subcontractors, vendors, laborers and other project stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are built according to plans and specifications.
- Handle all correspondence and forms required by the rand* office, such as daily reports, time sheets, safety reports, accident reports, etc.
- Monitor work being performed, direct subcontractors, and schedule work according to the project schedule.
- Promote rand*’s reputation for exceptional client service.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or experience working in the trades (college experience preferred).
- 15 years’ experience as lead superintendent on commercial interior, retail or building renovation projects.
- 6 years’ experience as lead superintendent on commercial interior projects.
- OSHA 30; OSHA Competent Persons Training preferred.
- First Aid and CPR Certification Preferred.
Qualifications
- Must have 10+ years’ experience as lead superintendent on commercial interior, retail, or building renovation projects.
- Proven track record of independent judgment and decision-making.
- Ability to anticipate and be proactive.
- Ability to deal professionally and diplomatically with individuals at all levels.
- Able to troubleshoot and solve highly complex project-related issues with all levels of team members.
- Able to manage deadlines, deliver as needed.
- Able to prioritize multiple assignments with a strong attention to detail.
Skills
