About the role

We are seeking local Superintendents who love to travel for project assignments. First Finish provides our superintendents with the necessary support and resources to excel in their role and ensure all projects are completed to the highest standard. Our superintendents are an integral part of the project team and become involved with projects during the preconstruction phase. As a senior member of the team, superintendents are also responsible for assisting in the professional growth of team members and maintaining relationships with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all daily field operations to ensure proper site safety, construction, progress, quality control, and a clean site.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of project strategy and commitments including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones, and inspections.
  • Work in partnership with the Project Manager to maintain an updated and accurate project schedule that reflects changes in project status and meets cost and time requirements.
  • Demonstrate and maintain effective and open dialogue with the project team regarding changes in work, job conditions, subcontractor relations, and any deviation in the direction of the project.
  • Promote positive relationships by dealing expertly and fairly with all subcontractors and vendors while instilling this philosophy in the project team.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent on complex hospitality projects ranging from $10-40M.
  • Willingness to travel to Charleston, SC for projects and nationally as required.
  • Proven track record of meeting deadlines and ability to pay close attention to crucial details of hospitality construction.
  • Project experience should include out-of-the-ground complex renovation work in occupied and unoccupied environments, urban and suburban work locations, and a complete understanding of high-level finishes.
  • Extensive knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
  • Experience in managing, training, and developing people.
  • Proficiency in computer technology.

Pay

Base Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000. The range is South Carolina based. Placement within the listed range depends on factors including years of experience, project size capability, and internal company equity.
