Responsibilities
- Perform oversight of other field personnel on remote job sites.
- Perform various field testing and observations at remote job sites.
- Assist field operations on remote projects with technician training and review.
- Closely coordinate field observations with engineering project lead.
- Review field logs and soil samples for classification and boring log preparation.
- Work independently on specific assignments of limited scope with Senior review.
- Perform quality review of work performed by assigned staff; identify, investigate, and resolve internal and external quality issues on projects.
- Cook up with regional operations to effectively coordinate staff, resources, and workloads.
- Ensure client expectations are met or exceeded.
- Support client relationships to effectively achieve power, renewables, and mission critical market-sector goals and strategies.
Requirements
- Must be action oriented, able to effectively/efficiently manage time, and able to learn quickly.
- Essential Field Duties: Conduct geological field investigations, including mapping, sampling, and logging; analyze rock, soil, groundwater, and geophysical data; prepare technical reports, maps, and cross-sections; support renewables and mission critical projects; ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements; perform various field activities on geotechnical projects including, but not limited to, pile load testing, field electrical resistivity testing, and soil logging; demonstrate thorough understanding of pile load testing (PLT) procedure; communicate with members of the team on project progress and issues that arise.

- Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint.
- Ability to create, maintain, and communicate project budgets.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree (BS) in geotechnical, civil, or related engineering field, or Geology required.
- Two or more years of construction materials testing or geotechnical engineering experience preferred, but not required.
- Previous experience with large-scale construction projects preferred.
- Must have a valid driver's license.

Pay
$50,000.00 - $74,000.00
Schedule
Expected travel is 60 to 90%.
